I, Meme, Mine

Taken from just about everyone today.

01. The first character I fell in love with: Snape. He pretty much made the book series for me.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Draco. I take strong issue with cowards, and he was just the biggest poster boy for complete pussy. But I think he's matured greatly, and well, he does have exquisite taste in boys with rumpled hair. *G*
03. The character (most) everyone else loves that I don't: Lucius. As a book character, he's two-dimensional. I can't get behind characters who remain stagnant for 7 damned books. He could have been great, too, limited only by Rowling's imagination. Seriously, what is with Rowling and her cardboard cut-out villains? THANK GOD for fandom writers and their character interpretations :-)
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Sirius. Everyone seems to hate on Sirius. Yes, he's a bullying arse. So are half of the other HP characters. And okay, he rides a flying motorcycle I'm thoroughly convinced is a Triumph. And someone who has excellent taste in bikes can't be all bad :P
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Lucius. Yes, he's still very pretty, but book Lucius lacks any substance whatsoever. Unlike a wine fine, he hasn't improved with age.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Snape.
07. The character I want to be like: Draco.
08. The character I'd slap: Voldemort. How does such a powerful Dark Lord get bested by a teenager? Pathetic.
09. A pairing that I love: Snape/Sirius!
10. Two pairings that I hate: Two? Fuck, I'll give you five: Snape/Hagrid, Draco/any female (throws up in her mouth a little), Harry/Hermione, Draco/Neville, Harry/Tonks.
11. Favourite character: Without question, Snape.
12. My six favourite characters: Snape, Harry, Draco, Sirius, Regulus, Pansy and Narcissa. That's six, but who's counting. Plus Scorpius, Teddy and Albus Severus if we're really not counting :P
13. My five least favourite characters: Hagrid, Ginny, Peter, Voldemort and Dobby. God, I fucking hate Dobby sooo much.
14. Which character I am most like: A cross between Snape and Draco.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I'm sure it's no surprise, but the last two books were practically unreadable to me. Just crap.

--P

I'd say that Dobby needs to DIE IN A FIRE, but JKR already did that for me. :D The one thing she did right in the last book. >.>

And you and I share the same deep dark fandom secret. >.>
:D

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate house-elves in general, but Dobby was just unforgivable to me. Blech!

[identity profile] vaysh11.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Two pairings that I hate: Draco/any female (throws up in her mouth a little)
I can absolutely relate to that. ;)

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
*hands you your own barf bag*

I can deal just fine with Harry het, but Draco het repulses me liek whoa.

[identity profile] juniperus.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL, technically Snape was my 1st 'ooOOOh' love (it was his challenge, that Hermione solved... I read that, knew it had to be him, and said 'smart man will be MINE!' lol), but I had virtually adopted Harry and Hermione chapters earlier. It's a mom thing, I guess.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
And the funny thing is, if I saw Snape on the streets I wouldn't give him a second glance. I mean, who really goes for greasy and big schnozed?

Totally off the beaten path... I keep thinking we need to have a Michigan get-together.

[identity profile] juniperus.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Greasy is ugh, but dark hair and eyes, and a nose of prominence? Yum. :D

Not what I married, but have dated and certainly turns my head--always has!

[identity profile] juniperus.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
And yes! Michigan meetup! :D

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Summer, perhaps? Are you going to this year's con?

[identity profile] juniperus.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
That's the plan!

[identity profile] spacefragments.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Sirius.

omg where the hell do you spend your ti--- oh right, snape fandom.

i totally forgot dobby on my list. fuck dobby.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha ha, I know, right? There is not much love for Sirius where Snape fen are concerned.

But hey, I do love a good Sirius/Remus fic when the mood strikes. I just recced one a few days ago, and it was sooo good! Have you read that one?

[identity profile] spacefragments.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
hp fic and i are on a temporary break, so i doubt it.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
The fic was from last year's [livejournal.com profile] hp_darkfest. Nothing recent. My reading queue is extremely backed up :P

It's [livejournal.com profile] blamebrampton's 'Of Great Price.'

[identity profile] spacefragments.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
ah, no, i didn't read it. i kept going back to it (had it bookmarked and planned to read it at some point) but it was way too long and aaahh... besides canon-compliant longfic always discourages me, esp. if it's pre-azkaban, i already know how it's going to end (badly), so...

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You are a bad influence. I started reading a Dean/Cas fic last night. More later. *G*

[identity profile] spacefragments.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
lol, if i had a dollar for every person who's said that to me...

i'd have like $5! :D

I'm sure it's no surprise, but the last two books were practically unreadable to me. Just crap.

Naturally. Sirius wasn't in them :P

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Rowling was not very fair to the Black boys, was she?

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
BTW, sweetie, thanks for the whip! You rock ♥

[identity profile] magnetic-pole.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure it's no surprise, but the last two books were practically unreadable to me. Just crap.

Heh. No surprise, and not even an uncommon opinion, but it's oddly gratifying to see it on this meme! M.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it though? *G*

How are you doing, Maggie?

[identity profile] magnetic-pole.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Gah, it's a bad combination, P--feeling busy yet not getting quite enough work done. But I'm glad to see you here again--it feels like it's been a while. M.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-02 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Trying to get back into the swing of things. I don't write nearly as much as I used to back in '05-'06. And let's not even discuss my reccing queue. Not enough hours in the day. For either of us it seems.

[identity profile] kellychambliss.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd forgotten about Dobby! I find the whole house-elf thing to be so problematic (not to mention how irritating they can be as characters) that I didn't even think of him when I made my "least favorite" list. But now I'm going to edit him in.

And Snape -- yeah, for him, I might go straight for a night.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, my hatred for the house-elves knows no bounds. What disturbs me the most is how upset Harry was over Dobby's death, yet he says nothing about Remus or Tonks. The phuck?

And Snape -- yeah, for him, I might go straight for a night.

Just a night? *G*

[identity profile] kellychambliss.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, for Severus? Maybe a week. Or whenever he drops by.

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The last two books really messed with everything for me, too. No secret. After Sirius's death, everything should have been dark and grim, not full of goofy romance and transparent tricks with Snape and polyjuice hijinks in the Ministry.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
*deep frown at goofy romance*

Which was goofier - Harry/Ginny or Remus/Tonks?

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't think Remus/Tonks was goofy in the hijinks sense, which was what the Harry/Ginny was to me. Though I can see why some people might have thought the mystery of the Remus/Tonks was goofy.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
THAT ICON CRACKS ME UP SO BAD, AMERS.

[identity profile] synn.livejournal.com 2010-01-31 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahaha, some of our answers are exact opposites. Although I am in complete agreement on Dobby and your fandom secret (although mine pretty much includes all the books... I don't find most of them unreadable, but I don't find them good either.)

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I just looked at yours and yes they are! *cries* But we love Snarry and that's what matters most!

[identity profile] synn.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed : D That's the only *true* pairing anyway.

Oh, TD, there is so much Sirius hate on my flist, I just don't even understand! It pains me :-(

A Triumph Bonneville or a Vincent Black Shadow for sure. Do you ride at all?
(reply from suspended user)

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Motorcycles are awesome. I highly encourage you to take the safety course. And the more female riders out there the better. I'm actually thinking about trading my crotch rocket for a Triumph. Kind of a 40th b-day present to me, since they are a wee bit more money.

[identity profile] pir8fancier.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I should have put Dobby on my hate list, because he's up there. So badly written.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-02-01 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Isn't Dobby just unforgivable? And Grawp, too. Christ, he sucks donkey cock as well.

BAD HP CHARACTERS ARE BAD!!!
