1.) I broke down and bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner, because black carpeting + white-bellied cat = lots of noticeable carpet fuzz. Best $325 bucks I've ever spent.

2.) I might've watched the entire Battlestar Galactica series in less than one month after having defiantly denounced its existence four years ago.

3.) I pulled my car over the other day to rescue a stuffed animal abandoned in the middle of the road. It's now buckled in my back seat. This cannot be considered normal.

4.) There will be anime recs soonish.

5.) Death Note Relight: Visions of a God = ♥

6.) I've seen Star Trek three times now. The Romulans, not surprisingly, are still made of suck.

7.) There will be a Star Trek poll tomorrow morning. And no, I've never given much thought to writing Spock/Chekov.

I fucking LOVED it so HARD. I have a Gaius icon I seriously need to upload. Have you seen Caprica? What are your thoughts on that?

i loved bsg for years, up until the latter half of s4, i think. the ending was horrible, i thought. yeah, let's colonize earth! bring language to the "natives"! gah. i was disappointed. but the early seasons are amazing.

i haven't seen caprica. i'm still burned from the bsg series finale, haha. btw, someone made a fan-edited version of the last half of s4 because they were so fed up with how ron moore handled it. it's here (http://cvm-productions.livejournal.com/645.html), if you are curious :)

I know that a lot of people took issue with the ending, but I was surprisingly okay with it. This might be because I watched the last six or so episodes before I started season one. I was completely prepared for Kara's departure. But everything made sense to me, and I left the series feeling very sated. Some of Roslin's scenes were very painful for me to watch, because my mother's death from cancer is still very fresh to me even after a year, but she was probably one of my favourite characters. Just some very good writing with the series. That link looks pretty awesome, I will have to give it a look once I'm home :-)
