1.) I broke down and bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner, because black carpeting + white-bellied cat = lots of noticeable carpet fuzz. Best $325 bucks I've ever spent.

2.) I might've watched the entire Battlestar Galactica series in less than one month after having defiantly denounced its existence four years ago.

3.) I pulled my car over the other day to rescue a stuffed animal abandoned in the middle of the road. It's now buckled in my back seat. This cannot be considered normal.

4.) There will be anime recs soonish.

5.) Death Note Relight: Visions of a God = ♥

6.) I've seen Star Trek three times now. The Romulans, not surprisingly, are still made of suck.

7.) There will be a Star Trek poll tomorrow morning. And no, I've never given much thought to writing Spock/Chekov.

You know how I got started watching BSG? Fucking Alessandro Juliani, man. Heard his voice from the other room and was like, 'Hey, what the fuck is L doing on a starship?'

Also, more Death Note, yes. See, the two squees are interconnected. *G*

YES. I always have to protest that I loved Gaeta as a character before I knew he was voicing L. :D

You know that Felix was gay, yes? They never said anything on the show, but it was on the website. It's just a pity he had to die a mutineer.

As a matter of fact I have the webisodes open in a tab here--I'm only on ep 7 or so because I got distracted and forgot about it and just found it again and am alternating it with the Kitty Anime. :D

I saw your post on the Kitty Anime and just about died. Your S.O. understands you very well, Amers. I must watch this for myself.

We have a dyson too! It's such a great vacuum. Do you have one of the new lighter ones? They look so cool with the roller ball in the center.

Alas, I could not afford the one I really wanted which was &550 buckaroos. I have the DC-14, and I'm more than happy with it!

That's the one we have, I really like the cheerful purple color. It's great because it picks up all the hair so easily- my sister and I have really thick hair that gets all over the place.

Spock/Chekov? Really? Huh. I don't see it, but if you can make it work, I'll happily ready it! :P

It's actually *checks wordcount* 500 words of Spock and his thinky thoughts, but he has a few things to say about Pawel. *G*

And shit, I could make anything work if I tried hard enough :-P

You told me you hated it and you've seen it 3 times??? I loved it, really really loved it. I can't see Chekov anyone, really. Perhaps Sulu...

I hated the Romulans. Still do. And there was some whatthefuckery with the casting, but I did enjoy the movie quite a bit. Trek purists will always find things they hate. It's an unwritten law, babe :P

1. I love our Dyson! Aren't they awesome?
2. OMG BSG!!!! :D :D :D!!!! Who are your favorites?
3. Probably not but it is awesome.
6. I do agree about the Romulans. I have still only seen it once. I had intended to go again the same weekend but that did not happen.

1.) Awesome to the Nth degree!
2.) In no particular order: Lee, Bill, Gaius, Roslin and probably Kara. Sharon was the only one I never made a connection with.
3.) I just couldn't leave it lying in the middle of the road, poor thing :-(
6.) The Romulans were made of complete and utter suck.

what did you think of bsg??

I fucking LOVED it so HARD. I have a Gaius icon I seriously need to upload. Have you seen Caprica? What are your thoughts on that?

i loved bsg for years, up until the latter half of s4, i think. the ending was horrible, i thought. yeah, let's colonize earth! bring language to the "natives"! gah. i was disappointed. but the early seasons are amazing.

i haven't seen caprica. i'm still burned from the bsg series finale, haha. btw, someone made a fan-edited version of the last half of s4 because they were so fed up with how ron moore handled it. it's here (http://cvm-productions.livejournal.com/645.html), if you are curious :)

I know that a lot of people took issue with the ending, but I was surprisingly okay with it. This might be because I watched the last six or so episodes before I started season one. I was completely prepared for Kara's departure. But everything made sense to me, and I left the series feeling very sated. Some of Roslin's scenes were very painful for me to watch, because my mother's death from cancer is still very fresh to me even after a year, but she was probably one of my favourite characters. Just some very good writing with the series. That link looks pretty awesome, I will have to give it a look once I'm home :-)

I loved just about everything to do with BSG. I still don't get why they needed to genderswitch Kara, but I adored her character anyways. Have you watched Caprica yet?

I have. There's some good stuff there. Moments in it were genuinely chilling. Still, it's not a "see now at any price" movie. I watched it from a borrowed copy, not purchased. Had I paid, I might have been more demanding.

I rented from Blockbuster. Caprica was interesting in a lot of ways, but like you mentioned, I'm glad I didn't purchase it. I will definitely watch the series when it starts, though.

I bought Mr Brammers one for his 30th (he is an engineering porn tragic). He just had his 40th, it still goes like the clappers and is our fave household appliance. It even has a little hand-held friend now (and that sounds much pervier than I meant it to ...) They ROCK. And it has never needed servicing, despite the fact that our house is filled with furry cats and a very long haired me.

My sister's had one for about ten years, too, and she told me it was totally worth the investment. I just hated spending $100 bucks every year for a run of the mill vacuum. After three years, you've practically paid for the Dyson. I lucked out. I got mine on sale. Normally, the DC-14 runs about $399. I'm very pleased with it so far. What model do you have?

And how sad is it that I think I need a Dyson icon :P

Seeing as how I did almost the exact same thing with BSG (though it was only Seasons 1 through 4 - 4.5 I watched in realtime), I can totally sympathize with no. 2.

Awesome, no?

I watched the firs episode/minimovie. Honestly I wasn't that impressed. It seemed much more soap opera. I may go back to it in a while and see if I can get more into it. Have you? What did you think?

Sorry for some reason I wasn't alerted that you had answered my comment. XD

I'm doing pretty well. Back to writing in this journal thing and doing graphics after some years of avoiding it. Tough years though. :/

But I'm back, in some capacity. Not as much time online as I used to have, what with the working world and everything, but I'm glad to be back doing to familiar things that I enjoy.

No fanfic for me.. but I will keep on with icons and websites and whatnot. Looking to do some RP but not sure what I want from it..
