I just took a gander at the Multifacted Awards to see who won. I was nominated for two categories and TOTALLY DID NOT expect to win. That's not my issue. However...

Why am I noticing a pattern with the MFA? Why are most of the winners a.) authors I have never fucking heard of (the exception being dementordelta -- congratulations sweets!) and b.) mostly SS/HG fics?

Not that I have anything against the pairing, but...

How did cybele_san only get an honorable mention for IYAP?

Yep, noticed exactly the same. The leaning towards SS/Hg was pretty bleeding obvious, and honestly, I felt bad for all the slashers out there. Guess my point of view is as biased as any, but I really thought there was plenty of damn good SS/just-about-anybody-else-but-Hermione that should've deserved some recognition.

Then again, I didn't even vote this time, so I guess this is the point where I shut the hell up and back away slowly.

(Not that I won't continue to bitch about it. I'll just do it more quietly;)
