Fandom Discussion: New HBP Additions -- yea or nay?

Since there have been several new character additions from HBP, I decided to do a post to see who took a shine or a dislike to whom -- and also to discuss new favorite ships.

I see no reason really to put this behind a cut. But I implore you, if you have not yet read HBP, DON'T peruse the comments!

So without further adieu...

What new characters did you like/dislike?

What new ships (or renewed interests in old, forgotten ships) have tickled your fancy?

Oh, good question.

Eldred Worple/Sanguini!

The "and, of course, his friend" [er, significant other] line, the "here, have a pastry" [watch your diet, Sang! -- Yes, _Eldred_], the "My Life Amongst the Vampires" [and my life with this particular one]. I was hooked from the first paragraph they were mentioned.

Enough said. They're my new obsession.

Could I persuade you into sketching them? *G*

Erm . . . possibly. I was thinking more of along the lines of a fic and was just debating with myself how I can fit it into my schedule. But artwork certainly works as well.

I'm still squeeing over your Snape/Lucius/Harry art.

*grin* Lucius will probably be in a lot of my future works. I discovered that I like drawing him.

I think the Sanguini (what a name!) and the pasty scene was probably about my favourite in the entire book. Brilliant bit of writing!

Heh. That scene definitely appealed to my often strange sense of humor. I agree, just brilliant.

Me, too! [/sheep] I do believe it was one of those few times during the book that I laughed out loud.

"Here, have a pasty."

*snortgiggle*

It was nice to finally see a vampire in the series, I must admit. Of course, you know -- it won't be long before he's shipped. *G*
