I'm part Norwegian on my mother's side, so I've always had an interest in Norse mythology. There is also a great deal of Norse mythology in a Snape/Harry story I wrote years ago. That's an awesome elementary school curriculum, though.

Yes, the Norse mythology has been quite popular since it was sort of re-discovered in the 19th century. I think it being part of the curriculum might have something to do with our national identity. So the children will have themed weeks where they work with vikings and the old gods and it's all very fun. :)

And thank you - I saw that hammer when I was 10 or something and just knew I had to own it. So it was a big thing when I finally could afford it some years ago. :D
