Misc Thinky Thoughts

Wow. It's been 11 days since my last posting. I need to do like 10 Hail Harry/Dracos and 8 Our Merlin/Arthurs, and oh, what the heck, some Eames/Arthurs, too, as penance.

1.) Had money to burn. Went to the snob mall (aka the Somerset Collection) this weekend in search of cool stuff. Did not find a thing. Fucking typical.

2.) Ended up in Build-A-Bear somehow IDEK. I destroyed all of the photographic evidence. I have a reputation to uphold :P

3.) Found nothing in the Puma store except a hat. Which I purchased and didn't really need. *hides behind extensive hat collection*

4.) Stopped for gas on the way home. Station boasted a pricey liquor store inside. There was an $1800 bottle of Rémy Martin Louis Tres in the locked cabinet. Yes, I'll take $20 on pump 12 and the $1800 bottle of Rémy Martin, plz! Um, okay, who the fuck goes to the gas station and spends nearly 2Gs on a bottle of cognac?!?!?

5.) Making fun of the overpriced shit at Needless Markups (aka Neiman Marcus) apparently never gets old.

6.) Watched Bent this weekend; NC-17 movie starring Ian McKellan, Clive Owen and Mick Jagger in drag. Has anyone else seen this? Why had I never heard of this before?

7.) Watched Moon Child this weekend, too. Japanese vampire movie starring J-pop star Gackt. Y SO DAMN FINE MR GACKT?

8.) Almost done with Entourage and am looking for a new series to watch. Need suggestions naow!

9.) Merlin was given the green light for a fourth season \0/

10.) Harry/Draco recs tomorrow!

Hey you!

Next time you go to Somerset Mall CALL ME and we can meet and drink coffee or something. Fancy doing it the one weekend in the year when I'm out of town. :(

HAHAHA! Build a Bear! That place is cute, even if you have A HEART OF STONE.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'm game for Somerset any day of the week!

*halo*

*hides her Beremy attired with cell phone and Jonas Bros t-shirt*

Heart of stone? Wot? *G*

I would rec. stargate atlantis, which I'm making my way through now, but you've already watched it...

have you seen 'dead like me' ? It's only two seasons though..

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I think I watched all 5 seasons of Stargate Atlantis in less than a month.

OMG I LOVED DEAD LIKE ME! Dolores Herbig FTW!

I was so sad when they cancelled it after just two seasons. Did you see the DLM movie?

Build-a-bear scares the crap out of me. I don't know why. It's when they fill the bear...skin? carcass?...up with foam and it comes to life. Horrifying!

I..am a bit of a wimp.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
BUT YOU GET TO PUSH THE PEDAL! AND PUT A HEART INSIDE IT!

Bear carcass? ROFLMAO

Are there BaBs in England?

[identity profile] libby-drew.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
I always pick up by $1800 liquor at the gas station. NOT.

Love Bent. And can't believe you've never seen it.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
is that not insane? The Rémy Matin Black Pearl addiction was going for 90Gs. NINETY THOUSAND! FOR ALCOHOL. Clearly, I have an inferior palate :P

I don't know how Bent slipped past my radar. I am slightly embarrassed. *hides*

[identity profile] phoenixacid.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Moonchild! I watched it a while back - gackt was really pretty in it huh? He seriously looks like an anime character.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Gackt is so pretty. I want to pick him up and squeeze the stuffin' out of him.

Gackt? OMG SO GORGEOUS.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I know, right? He makes me weep tears of fangirly joy.

[identity profile] sabriel75.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Dexter!

(This show's fantastic.)

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, I am all caught up with Dexter. And yes, it is a fantastic show.

[identity profile] magnetic-pole.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Heh. The idea of you and Build-a-Bear made me laugh. But we all have our weaknesses for small furry things, right?

Bent! God, that was hard to watch. M.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
I do have a weakness for such things. Neighbours across the street were throwing away stuffed animals, and I went and rescued them. They were just sitting there propped up atop the garbage bags and in mint condition. That dirty, smelly garbage truck is a fate worse than death :P

Bent was hard to watch, but it was still a good movie.

I believe the answer to number 4 is gangsters.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Suburban gangstas maybe. LOL

Possibly not up your alley at all but I am currently immersed in watching Psych, which is a... comedy/crime drama/silly thing/hard to explain. Just about every episode has made me laugh out loud at least once, so far (I am midway through season 3) and I love pretty much all the characters, so it is kind of my happy place right now. (Like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXI5mPUIWtY&feature=related) for example.)

Other shows I love: Leverage, Community, Modern Family. Hmm I seem to be on a comedy spree. Although Leverage is more drama than comedy, sort of.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I've seen Psyche before. It's not a bad show, just nothing I think I could really immerse myself in. I love Leverage. Do you watch Fringe or Warehouse 13? I heard they might be cancelling Fringe, though.

How are you doing btw? You have been in my thoughts, hon. Hope things are going well ♥

TV shows I've been immersed in... Hustle, Life on Mars, Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Other awesome shows: The Riches, OZ, Skins... I'm a little dazed to think of anything else off the top of my head.

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 04:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Who is airing the Sarah Jane Adventures? I've seen several people post about that lately.

[identity profile] enchanted-jae.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Forgive me, fandom. It has been 11 days since my last post."

*guffaws*

Also, hat collection?

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Not including my steampunkish, leather stovepipe topper, I have a ridiculous baseball hat collection. I stopped counting after fifty hats.

[identity profile] nuclearsugars.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
LOL I love all your names for the snooty stores. And yes, I would spend 2Gs on a bottle of cognac vodka. :P

Which bear did you build? *g*

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but Neiman Marcus is just ridiculous.

The Bearemy bear with converse-like trainers, white shirt and trousers and a spiffin' hat. Poor thing is in desperate need of accessorising, though :P

It was a much needed little pick-me-up!

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I'll take $20 on pump 12 and the $1800 bottle of Rémy Martin, plz!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH -what, I thought it was funny ;)

Haven't seen Bent, but should probably go and see Bent!

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Fair warning. Bent does not have a happy ending. It moved me to tears :(

Let me know what you think, hon.

Hols goes well for you I see \0/

I actually own Moon Child, because I am a j-rock geek. Not only for Gackt but for Hyde too. Yum!

[identity profile] themostepotente.livejournal.com 2010-10-27 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Hyde is hot, too, but Gackt holds a special squishy place in my heart. *g*

How are you doing, Viki?

Moon Child! Lol, vampire movies never get old. Especially ones that star someone flawless looking.

It's hard to find stuff at the mall/while shopping if you're actually looking for something. It's always easier to find stuff you want when you can't actually buy anything/wasn't planning on buying anything. :D
