Dragoncon Poll

Since I'm not going to Infinitus this year, I will be going to Dragoncon in Atlanta in September. It's a huge media con. Not quite as big as Comic Con but certainly big enough. Just wondered who else was attending and if anyone would be interested in meeting up.

*On a totally unrelated note, I take back everything I said about loving the summertime. I have been TOTALLY miserable with this extreme heat. I haven't even been able to enjoy my motorcycle much, because wearing a full face helmet in 95 degree weather is srs bullshit. Ugh. *melts*

Ha! Even better. On occasion I've been known to take trips to the wilds of Marietta and Roswell, but not often :-) It's funny how particular people can get about it. I myself officially live on the Decatur/East Atlanta Line, but I'm well ITP :-)

Next year, I swear it! My husband spent enough last month on his damn helicopter hobby alone to send our whole family with hotel! *steams* So I think I'm going to do the whole siphoning thing and save-up slowly. :D This year it's just too short notice now because I would actually need my own room. I don't think 2 adults and an almost-5-year-old could find crash space. :D

ComicCon is bigger than DragonCon? Wow. I always think of DC as the big mother of them all (in terms of the size it's grown to). I mean, isn't it basically its own small city that sells out several very large hotels?

Don't forgo the helmet, no matter how hot it gets. Friends of my parents, husband and wife, hit a deer on their motorcycle last weekend. Neither of them was wearing a helmet, and she may not live. I haven't heard much news lately, but I know she had a bilateral bleed, meaning bleeding on both sides of the brain. Safety first, sweetie.
