Lucius Big Bang

I suppose it was only a matter of time, really. I think the Big Bangs have passed the point of 'out of control', but I must confess that LBB intrigues me. I'm hoping it will cure my Lucius burn-out.

What I'd love to see?

A nice, long plotty Snape/Lucius fic. Back to humble beginnings, man. Snape/Lucius was one of my most favourite pairings back in the day. Yes, I'm jonesing for this.

Lucius GEN. YES, YES a thousand times YES. Now that's something you never, ever get to see. I want to know what life's been like in Azkaban. I want to know what kind of relationship Lucius had with Abraxas. I want to know how Lucius courted Narcissa. I want to see something other than an abusive relationship with Draco. I want to see Lucius cut open and bleeding. I want to see him vulnerable. Weep tears of joy, pain. I want to see a whole other side to him, dammit. The depth Rowling never gave us.

What I don't want to see?

Twenty Lucius/Harry rape/torture fics set in a dirty dungeon with a St Andrews' Cross. ZZZzzzZZZ

I wish I had it in me to write HP fic. Book six killed me and book seven dug up my corpse, salted and burned it. I would like to see a solid Lucius fic with real character exploration. There's a person in there. He's hiding real damn good and I'd like to know why.

But that won't stop me from writing a HBP/DH-sequel to my Lucius gen-story, the one that had Lucius wanking and weeping in the shower after Abraxas's death. :-)

oh gods, i would LOVE some lucius/narcissa courting fic. SO SO MUCH. i read a ficlet along those lines a few weeks ago and recced it for the quibbler_report, and a big bang length version of something like that would send me OVER THE MOON.

I'd really love to see Lucius mentoring Scorpius, too. Allowing him to be Lucius's second chance at properly raising a child. I think they'd have a lot to teach one another.

I am agonising here. They have such *beautiful* banners. I am easily enticed by banners. *sigh*
Someone should stop me from signing up, though, because I am incapable of living up to this L-arry Dungeons of Discontent standard you're all talking about. My epilogue compliant PG gen would be so out of place.

Aren't those banners beautiful? The whole layout of the community, too. The colour scheme works perfectly. Heh, yes, banners are teh shineh. I always love to have an accompanying banner when pimping.

Oh, pishaw, Chante! I would *love* to see your gen. Canon compliant, PG or otherwise.

I am so sick of the whole 'Lucius married Narcissa for convenience' thing. I want to see a new angle for once. We have canon proof at the end of the last book that Lucius was very protective of Narcissa and Draco, so that he genuinely loves his wife should not be a stretch. I do believe, however, that Lucius does have extra-martial affairs, but that he's very discreet. I'm sure Narcissa doesn't wholly approve, but I've had discussions at length with people about British aristocracy and this seems to be the norm.

*sighs* Yeah, book seven was really the coup de grace for Lucius for me. Which is a shame, because I'd loved him for so long. I just *hated* what Rowling did with Lucius in the last book. He seeks justice, dammit, for lousy treatment in the way of good fic!
