How's everyone this morning? *hands out Starbucks and accompanying goodies* Wish they'd hurry up with the damn gingerbread :P

1.) Writing again. Solidly. The feeling is sublime. So empowering. I have fics coming up for two fests. And can I just say how wonderful it is to be writing Harry/Draco again? It's been too long. Not since WC08. Of course, my euphoria may be linked to #4.

2.) hp_darkfest is in full swing. I adore melusinahp for doing this fest. a.) I love dark fic b.) This fest is not overwhelming me. Go and have a look!

3.) I should have some recs tomorrow. Just call me Ms Slacker Extraordinare. *G*

4.) I had a peaceful couple of days off, and I'm not ashamed to admit I did something during the day I haven't done in a long time. I got nicely buzzed on a bottle of sangria and a cup of warm sake. *G*

5.) I may have watched five seasons of Stargate Atlantis in less than one month. I am so addicted to the Wraith, and I have decided I want one for a boyfriend/girlfriend. Would love some recs for the following pairings: John/any Wraith, John/Ronon, Rodney/Carson, Rodney/Zelenka, Rodney/Daniel, and okay, I suppose John/Rodney even though I still can't see the attraction.

6.) Might anyone be able to make a new banner for serpentinelion? You would be compensated for your time, and you would be helping me greatly. Any takers?

Unfortunately, I didn't keep as good records of the McKay/Zelenka that I read, but I'd recommend:

Eeee! SGA! it's such a wonderful place! Although I confess that I am a John/Rodney lover at heart. Ok, mostly John. John Sheppard held my heart in a way that only one other character has. Oh, John. Ok, you must read a rather strange, but altogether marvellous fic by Lobelia - Ichor. No, let me find the link. Oh, I'm just so excited that you're dipping your toes in that I'm all incoherent. My computer got eaten, alas, so I lost all my bookmarks - I'm so sad, all those years worth of fandoms, all gone *sob* - but I rec'd Ichor so I should have a link in my own journal. Ok, and I also wrote a John/Rodney fic that's kinda sorta also John/wraith (Todd, before we knew he was Todd - it's pre-season 4) called Jerusalem (http://rinsbane.livejournal.com/54933.html). All the rest of mine are John/Rodney only, in various incarnations, although there's a Rodney/Atlantis one in there, and all of them have some piece of John/Atlantis. The city herself was my weak point.

Gosh. I, too, had a thing for wraith fic, and there were a couple other good ones out there, but I just can't remember and without my links *double sob*, I'm lost. if you haven't read Kaneko's transformations - I think it was - you should. It's The Antarctica fic. Oh, this just makes me so sad not to have all those links to the best fic.

And I'm delighted to hear you're writing again! I haven't written a word myself in a year, which makes me infinitely sad, but all the more happy to know you are out there doing it.

Ahhh, I keep reading this and I can't tell if you mean "this fest is lukewarm" or "there is no such thing as too much dark fic!"

Also, can I say I'm a little sad to see the Sherant art go from SerpentineLion? Although I'm sure pink_mint will come up with something delicious. :D

Following three fests is overwhelming, and by overwhelming I mean I could never get caught up.

Darkfest is a nice, relaxing easy to follow fest, because there aren't three 10k plus fics to read every day. I'm really enjoying the sharp, shorter pieces here :-)
