A Funny Way of Making Peace

The boy had a funny way of making peace.

He could've sent an owl. Or just as easily have said nothing and let well enough alone.

But Potter, never to be outdone, was standing outside Snape's door on Spinner's End, ringing his broken bell and righting the upside down six of his address while he waited to be noticed.

In the worst fucking get-up imaginable.

It might have been less painful to let the boy have his say. Then again, it might have been less painful to self-inflict a broken glass and Firewhisky enema. But, since Snape was still nursing a bottle of single-malt, he opted for the former and took his chances.

The door opened with a creak.

Potter coughed into a closed fist, and readjusted his bourgeois mask. Even without the theatrics, Snape could still see the telltale scar inching its way up Potter's forehead and into that tumbledown mess of hair.

"Singing Smut-O-Gram!"

Snape just barely stirred, nodding faintly for Potter to proceed. The voice cracked, understandably and embarrassingly so.

"I heard that you were freed and cleared.
Medals! Statues! Merlin's beard!
I know you think I came to mock.
But I'm just here to suck your ---- "

The door closed with a thwump in Potter's face.

Damn, but the boy had a funny way of making peace. But, Snape mused, ticking off from ten backwards before pulling Potter inside by the arm.

Snape had an even funnier way of keeping the peace.

Hahahaha! I loved the little rhyme. This line was my favorite: Then again, it might have been less painful to self-inflict a broken glass and Firewhisky enema.

Utterly hilarious! Snape's reactions here are just priceless. And I wish I could hear the tune to go with those brilliant words. Ha! Well done!

This "anonymous" feedback was left for you as an Act of Magical Kindness, part of the Harry Potter Alliance's current campaign.

LOL Harry's poem reminds me of Ferris Bueler: "...I came to bring you lots of luck! 'Cause *I*'m the nurse that likes to ----!" XD And delivery!boy Harry reminds me of that HP book (forgot which one, though^^) where these gnomes/dwarves deliver singing telegrams - and Harry gets a really tacky one from Ginny... =) And now I know how he put *that* one to use - if poetry talent is an indication, then couples who write bad love poems together, stay together! Hooray Harry/Ginny! :3

Funny moment: I click on 'add friend', and this sign pops up: "Themostepotente is your friend." O_O LOL Rather a 'Big Brother' kind of moment. Even though I realize that it's just the LJ function thing. XP
