[FIC] Fix - Draco/Bellatrix [NC-17] by l3petitemort.

A short, sharp piece. I can always tell when a writer really enjoys what they do. And even though this ficlet is just 1,500 words, I can tell this was a labour of love. Wordsmithing is an acquired taste I know, but there are still a lot of ill-favoured opinions and misconceptions about the writing style I'd love to see go away.

Here, let me give you an example of the writer's prose;

His body is like hers: made of angles and planes, something geometric and precise. There is a formula for what happens when you put them together, but there is no one brave enough to write it down. When you solve it, it explodes.

*bites fist* Fuck, I wish I could write like this.

[FIC] The Caretaker - Snape/Filch [R] by Mystery Author.

A lovely, vignetted piece in Filch's voice. Yeah, yeah, I know. How can love between the two ugliest men in fandom be remotely sexy? It's never really been a question of sexy but a question of real for me. These two share a background, and that's really enough of a jumping board to start.

Through the years, Filch is there to comfort and control Snape; first when Snape's a student, next when he's a young adult and finally when he's the professor we all know (and love). So much it seems, that they continuously fall into their old routine. Not what I'd label romance, but definitely light-hearted. Snilch shippers are a small but devoted lot, and I'm never disappointed when the occasional fic falls into my lap.

[FIC] A Million Sharpened Pieces - Snape/Lucius [NC-17] by Mystery Author.

Old-school Snape/Lucius, ahoy! I haven't read this pairing in ages, so it was definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Severus, wanting desperately to escape the doldrums of Christmas at Spinner's End forsakes his family to stay at Malfoy Manor. Lucius is, of course, beautiful poison; slick, smart and silver-tongued. And poor Severus is desperate for escape, not so much from the grim but from the grey. Sadly, I must admit that Severus is a little too gullible for my tastes here, but the sadist in me thoroughly enjoys Lucius deconstructing Snape and then reconstructing him in Lucius's own image. It's also a refreshing change to see Tobias as something other than a nasty fall-down drunk.

I have been staring at this picture on and off for about, oh, two weeks now. I just-- this picture makes my heart skip about a gazillion beats. Snape is so UNGODLY. FUCKING. SEXY. That look is positively sssmouldering.

Yeah, um, ditto here with Draco. Patilda is just so fabulous, I'm tempted to email her and ask if she's accepting marriage proposals. Sex on fucking legs, man, sex on fucking legs!

I have a major phantom hard-on for Gríma Wormtongue. I blame the grease, really :P But that part in Two Towers when he cups Eowyn's cheek and tries to seduce her with sweet talk of pale springs and winter's chill, my heart went all a flutter. I'm weird, I know *G*
