Um the one with Neville - in the library, in the lake, and pretty much every where in that damned thing.

Prancing Voldemort. Hi. Not.

eh. It beat CoS.

Not saying as it will get me bullied and possibly banned from fandom.

I didn't really like that Fleur was shown as the pretty girl and the least capable champion, but that comes right from the book, so it's not really a movie complaint. Moody wasn't really how I saw him, but he was really enjoyable to watch, and while there were a couple line readings that I didn't like, mostly I really liked the performance.

Order of the Phoenix? Department of Mysteries plz. They'd best not cut Lucius and Bellatrix bitching at each other.

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF? I liked the three task, the graveyard, and the one with Neville and Harry in the library.

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF? I didn't like the ending. Or Sirius in the fire - I mean, I liked Sirius, but I think they could have done something else with the fire. :/

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors? I think he did a great job.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP? The ones with Luna - she's one of my favorite characters, and I can't wait to see her in the movies. :D

Who was your new favourite character in GoF?
Voldemort took first place for me, but I should note that Filch's thirty seconds of panting, sweaty glory running up and down the Great Hall really did it for me. Boy, that sounds wrong on so many levels.

Who was your new least favourite character in GoF?
The Crouch's really didn't do it for me at all, and Karkaroff was completely down-played. Most irritating, I'm afraid, was that little tongue-flicking bit courtesy of Crouch Jr. He had so much potential...

1.) What were your favourite scenes in GoF?
Filch, as mentioned. Lucius at the QWC (I think I wet myself), and KILL THE SPARE. Ralphy-boy did a great job, imo - maniacal monologues and all.

2.) What were your least favourite scenes in GoF?
Cho blows! Seriously, though, I didn't tear this film apart - I enjoyed the entire blasted thing. Could have done with a touch more Draco though.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors?
Chris Columbus needs to do Disney, Alfonso should stick to 50's B-Horror Classics, and Newell is my hero.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP?
The Marauder's in the pensieve, and Sirius' death. I can't wait to see that veil!

1) The supply closet/Veritaserum scene. Also the graveyard scene. Ralphemort effing rules.

2) The Hungarian Horntail scene went on a bit too long. Wasn't crazy about the Prefects bathroom scene (though the scene before it, with Cedric's "meet me in the men's room" speech, was aces!)

3) Newell did pretty well. Miles ahead of Columbus. I love Cuaron as a director but his movie felt a little too much Cuaron and not enough Harry Potter. Newell seemed to "get it" in a way the others didn't.

4) Oh, no contest: Occlumency lessons.

1. Neville Neville Neville! Although when he came back in the early hours of the morning, I swear the implication is that he totally got laid and that's a little icky. Oh, and I totally cracked up over the crying staircase. It would have been stupid for her to just collapse on the staircase on her own, but the fact that there was like, a whole knot of crying girls behind her was just genius.

2. Hermione's waggling eyebrows of doom. Whoever is her acting coach, whoever told her that she should use her eyebrows more when acting ... needs to be slapped. It distracted me from every scene she was in.

3. Liked him a lot. Columbus was way too cutesy, and although I appreciate the effort, Cuaron tried too hard.

4. Oh man. So much. I'm actually looking forward to Harry screaming his head off for the entire movie. I like Dan Radcliffe a lot. But lots more Neville is way good, and Umbridge will be awesome, but yeah, the Marauders in the Pensieve. And Neville and Bella fighting.

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF? Harry and Ron making up, the second task (all of it), the Yule Ball, Harry asking Cho out, every minute that Voldemort was on screen

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF? Most of the first task - that dragon flying around the school was DUMB.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors? I think he was the best so far.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP? Harry and Cho kissing (and the trio scene after it), Weasley Is Our King, Sirius and Snape being all GRRRR at each other (plz let them keep that).

1. The Weasley twins and the Aging Potion. (Hell, the whole putting names in the cup scene.) McGonagall teaching the Gryffs how to dance. Study hall and Snape. Lucius/Draco vs. the Weasley brood at the World Cup. The Durmstrang entrance. Hermione as an owl. Neville's OH MY GOD I KILLED HARRY POTTER!!! Deadric. *cries*

2. Imperius!Viktor without any explanation for it (though it was omgsocreepy!). Hagrid/Maxime and the beard beetles. Superdramatic!Hermione on the bridge. Superdramatic!Hermione on the train. The LACK of the World Cup.

3. I thought he did an excellent job. This one felt the most true to the books, to me, and I think he did an awesome job at both whipping Kloves into shape and getting the interactions between the characters spot on. I know a lot of it is the actors getting better, but a lot of it is on him too. I'd say he's been my favourite to date.

4. The Marauders and Snape's greying pants. The DoM. The THESTRALS. Grimmauld Place. Meeting the Weasleys. And after GoF, I'm actually looking forward to the Harry/Cho. Oh, and the DA. And DRACO eeeeee!!! And the Room of Requirement! (It's been awhile since I read the book - bear with me. :p)

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF? Madam Maxine knocking that ceiling lamp aside. I don't know why, but that was such an unexpected little wow moment. Also, the Potions closet Karkaroff-has-the-Mark scene. Delicious. And twins. Yes, all the twin-scenes were pretty awesome. Voldie doing his interpretive dance in the graveyard (go toes).

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF? Stupid @$%&^ carnivorous hedge. Krum and the I-am-weird-because-of-the-maze-and-not-Imperius-hence-the-contacts thing. The silly Mount Dhûm ember face of Sirius in the fireplace.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors? I think he did a more artistic job than Chris, and a less artistic job than Cuaron. I liked it overall, and left feeling very good about it.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP? Occlumency lessons, Snape's Worst Memory, more Sirius, especially the Sirius/Snape faceoff at Grimmauld Place. I want to see wands crackling, oh yes.

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF? Sirius' firecall. Was so dumb. Maxine's beetle eating *yuck*

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors? I would have loved POA more if they gave an explanation to the Marauders Map and Harry's protonus, so I'm giving the edge to Newell instead.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP?Inquisitor's squad, I will not tell lies, Rickman and Oldman chewing scenery, er... yelling. They better do a decent job with Luna.

1) Voldemort saying he hadn't realized how pretty Cedric is (Cedric/Voldie! *g*). Harry and Snape in the closet and later the "I told you it wasn't me!" look Harry gives Snape. And really, every single slashy moment! (omgsomany) Pretty much every scene with either Ron or Neville, I'm so glad they finally gave the characters some depth instead of just being comic relief. Ron and Harry fighting after they announced the champions.

2) Sirius fire calling, wth? That's really not how I pictured it. The dragon chasing Harry around the school was too long imo. The lack of reaction from Harry when he learns Snape was a DE. Hermione's breakdown, someone please bitch slap her or give an explanation. It really felt like they cut a scene that would justify her reaction being so over the top. Madame Maxime eating beetles out of Hagrid's beard which was just a big WTF moment.

3) I think he was best so far. I liked Curaon’s style better, but he changed the story too much and the movie was dragging a lot at some places. GoF really felt, well British, in big part thanks to the humor and the fast pace really did it for me.

4) SNAPE! Every scene with Snape and for once, they can't cut them all because Occlumency lessons and the Pensieve incident are really important to the plot. Luna, and Neville having more screen time. The DA. Ron being attacked by brains in the DoM. Also capslock!Harry, because Dan's acting skills got so much better, I actually think he can pull it off. Sirius's Death.

Who was your new favourite character in GoF?
LOVED Voldemort. Very creappy, yet still kind of human-ish. Made him all the more scarrier than if they'd portrayed him as a total monster.

Who was your new least favourite character in GoF?
Crouch JR. A total let down. The tongue thing was just dumb.

Fandom Discussion
1.) What were your favourite scenes in GoF?
Yule ball was great. Including the lead up to it. Voldemort's return. Ferret scene.

2.) What were your least favourite scenes in GoF?
The Quidditch World Cup. "What QWC?" you say. EXACTLY! Could have been the coolest thing ever, and they just skip it. And, anything Dumbledore was in. WTF was up with him? Someone needs to re-evaluate his meds. He didn't seem in character at all. Oh, and re-writing the Dragon scene was just plain dumb.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors?
Eh, he's alright. If I'd never read the books, I'd think he was brilliant. But I have read them and am seriously questioning whether Newell has.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP?

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF?

I loved Harry walking into the Weasleys' tent, the ones of Neville practicing his dancing and then coming home laid late, the bath scene between pervy!Myrtle and Harry, anything with Harry and Cedric, Ron's reaction to---okay, I have to stop now; I could be at this for some time---oh hell: Snape and Harry in a closet! Snape and his cuffs! Hee!

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF?

I didn't like "Moody's" implosion and subsequent manhandling by Dumbledore; I didn't like how Hermione and Ron's argument after the ball was handled; and I wished the opening and ending scenes hadn't been so sketchy.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors?

I think the man gave us a much better movie; it had the heart I felt was missing in PoA and it flowed well. There was just no dead time.

Eh, I've only seen it once and I already kind of forget it because I'm lame like that, but I'll bowl a round:

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF?
-DE attack on the World Cup was crazy scary, though too short
-Voldemort in a hospital gown
-Harry coming back with Cedric and no one knows he's dead - totally perfect moment of just making your stomach turn.

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF?
-Draco sitting in a tree for no reason
-Dragon chases Harry around the whole flipping school? wtf.
-Pretty in Pink!Yule Ball

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors?
Best yet. Columbus - eh. Everyone thinks the same about him. Cuaron was good, but for the first time, this felt like a real movie, about real people. The whole medieval setting thing in PoA was great and artsy, but made the movie feel very fairy tale/fantasy still. Despite an actual Dark Lord and dragons and shit in this one, it felt more real, if that makes sense. Maybe it's the lack of robes, and the dance party, and shit.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP?
No contest: Crazy Gary Oldman screaming at that bitch portrait. It'll be the first thing they cut, too, and it's all I care about. Hands down my favourite part of the book. What? :)

1.) What were your favorite scenes in GoF?

So many! Pretty much everything the Weasley twins were in, Snape in study hall (teh sleeves!!), Cedric & the Prefects' Bathroom invitation/leer, Harry & Ron's fight (though the lack of make-up sex was distinctly disheartening), anything involving Malfoys.

2.) What were your least favorite scenes in GoF?

Pretty much anything involving Dumbledore. Also, hate to rain on the Neville parade, but aside from the amusement of his dancing scene, I've never been a movie!Neville fan at all. I also cringe every time (okay, so usually once or twice a movie) the kid who plays Seamus opens his mouth. Stupid fire-calling thing. Lack of World Cup and consequent scene with Draco in the woods, lack of other champions & their dragons. (I just wanted to see the full-size dragons, really!) These are pretty small and picky, with the exception of Dumbledore.

3.) How do you think Mike Newell stacked up against the other directors?

By far the best. Loved him! Even if there still was way too much shrill Emma Watson all over the place.

4.) What scenes are you most looking forward to in OotP?

1) Neville's scenes, the graveyard scene and right after Harry returns with Cedric's body, any scene with Lucius and Snape.

2) Sirius' firecall scene, Dumbledore's scenes -- movie!Dumbledore just doesn't fit my perception of a powerful but quirky wizard.

3) He did great with inserting humour and teenage hormones into the film. I like how Cuaron adds little magical stuff in the background better, but Newell did a great job overall. So: Cuaron's atmosphere/style, Newell's plot continuity.

4) Occlumency lesson, Snape's Worst Memory, DoM, Luna.

2. The First Task ran a tad too long, flaming Sirius (good that he was in the film, but it could have been done LOTS better), the very end (there's no real sense of impending peril, as there was in the book)
