I am commiserating when I say that 'debilitating migraine' is superfluous, yes? You know, as opposed to 'livable migraine' or 'sort-of migraine'. Which, as a fellow migraine sufferer, I can honestly say are as rare as fanfiction stories where Ron has a clue.

However, as a happy beta-blocker taker in a preventative measure, I can recommend at least that. It works like nobody's business. *nods*

Migraines are teh suck. Have you tried drinking white tea? It's the only non-prescription remedy that helps me with migraines.

It's awesome! I'd truly be lost without it. Teavana (http://www.teavana.com/) is a great place to purchase any kind of tea. In white teas, I especially like Precious White Peach & Silver Needle (http://store.teavana.com/oolteas.html). It ain't cheap, but a little goes a helluva long way. (And you don't have to beg your doctor for 'the good' meds.)

You think so? I think any wizard worth his salt knows it's in his best interests to keep a witch happy. He might mistreat the house elves, but a wife who's a witch? *bad* idea. Too many things a wife can do to retaliate for poor treatment. Hexing it off (even temporarily), various imaginative curses and potions come to mind. You're right, though, in that Lucius probably wouldn't do that himself, but he would certainly hire some poor slob to take Narcissa's discomforts on during her pregnancy. Keeps her happy and his 'nads intact. ;)

Well, you're not too terribly far from where I live, and I've had migraines on and off since Friday. With vomiting. This happens every spring and fall and will end when the weather finally settles down into being one thing instead of hot/cold and back again.

You have my sympathies, and I don't blame you for going for that Vicodin.

I had a migraine for 2 1/2 weeks once. That was back in the early '90s, when they were first diagnosed. I'd had them long before that, but that one finally sent me to the hospital. Demerol is my friend. (You had to be hospitalized to get it in those days.)
