I can enjoy prOn when I'm in the mood, but overall I want story then I don't mind if there's sex as much.

For writing I do more drabbles and character moments than long stories, and I don't think I'm that good at the smut.

What makes you say you aren't good at writing smut?

I guess mainly when I create the scenario in my head first, even if it turns me on personally I get very embarresed at the thought of other people reading it.

It's like exposing my personal fantasies or sex life for other people to see, even though it's through other characters. I think its self conscious, especially if other people found it silly, or bad or pathetic. I know it's taking things too personally, and other aspects of storytelling don't bother me like this.

Also I think it's one of those things that is hard to do well, like good dialogue or action scenes. I know improvement comes with practice, but then I get stuck on the whole embarresment problem again.

I can tell good and bad when I'm reading it, but never get fully convinced by my own efforts. I often like it while I write it, but then rereading afterwards it always seems to come across as silly and cliched.

Probably a longer answer than you were looking for.*g*
