Ephemeral = Short lived, fleeting, usually used to describe something lovely that dies quickly.

Peripatetic = aimless, itinerant; one who walks... I've seen it used to describe a traveler's soul and/or to do something without consistancy or regimen, just as the moment takes you.

Contumacious = opposing righful authority, obstinate,


Snape

Saturnine = Morose, gloomy. I've also seen it used to indicate bookish (with heavy influence of morose, gloomy).

Erudite = Deeply read, learned.

Abstemious = Sparing in food or drink (or pleasures, as I've seen it used), temperate, sober.

And, to top it all off...

Contumelious = contemptuous, insolent, proudly rude. ;-)
