Here via DS. My writing is mostly RPG wise, and otherwise I read a lot.

Besides the Harry Potter fandom -- do you write for any other fandoms currently?
There are a few other fandoms I feel well in. That includes a whole lot of different anime fandoms, some video game fandoms, and some movies (PotC comes to mind). I also enjoy some more obscure fandoms, like for example Bible Slash, Norse Mythology Slash (so many canon kinks*g*) etc.

What ships do you like in other fanverses?
In nearly every fanverse I have one OTP. In a few fandoms it's two. Mostly because I always have one favourite char and one or two others I like nearly as much. I always pair my favourites, disregarding the probability. I just can't like a pairing in which I don't like one half (or third).
My favourite pairings (other than HP) include
Garak/Bashir (DS9)
Sephiroth/Vincent and Nanaki/Vincent (FF7)
Spike/Giles (Buffy)
Moriarty/Holmes (Sherlock Holmes, Bookverse)
Roland/Eddie (The Dark Tower)
Orochimaru/Kabuto (Naruto)
and many others.

Have you considered trying your hand at writing for another fandom?
>_> I did a drabble for TPM for a friend. In german. It was actually quite fun. Otherwise, I'd mostly RP, not write fanfic, and when it comes to RP I feel confident enough to play in all of my fandoms as long as I have a good participant.

Or perhaps you left another fandom to come to Harry Potter?
I never left a fandom for another fandom. I only leave fandoms when they don't give me anything anymore.

Do you consider some of the fandoms to be flash in the pans?
Definitely. Many fandoms that are based on one movie suffer that fate. PotC, Troy, and yes, even the LotR movie fandom will eventually die down, returning to the book fans. Also, no offense meant, but most american anime fandoms are like that. They base on the american version of the anime or manga, and when that doesn't run in TV anymore or the manga is done, it all crumbles, as it gets a lot less influx than the japanese fandom does.

And lastly, how long do you foresee the Harry Potter fandom lasting?
Long. Very long. The fandom is already huge, and it has a huge part book fandom (those often last the longest). There's still two books to come, then more movies, and after that, the books will still be easily accessable, due to their huge success. It will probably calm down a bit after book 7 (which is no bad thing), but it won't fade for very long.
