Heh, good question. A little thinking resulted in this: I prefer and use lubrication spells when the characters are in a hurry or I want it to emphasize the lack of emotions. Lubrication - I read and write Snape, so it's always selfmade ;) - is for play. I don't think I have written anything that qualifies as strange lube.
