Snape on a broom? if he were that helpless, i think he'd have fallen off when Harry nearly drove that good ol' Nimbus up his ahem.
Snape and Quidditch? i don't think so; he's too paranoid. i doubt he'd be able to take his eyes off the stands (and his fellow players) long enough to concentrate on a quaffle or a snitch or what-have-you. plus remaining trapped by a high-school frame of mind, i do think sports is a popularity contest, and Snape is/was simply not popular.
