The 411 on Remus Lupin

I'll be the first to admit -- I don't write Remus Lupin well.

I know that I 'prefer' him submissive. I have a harder time wrapping my brain around alpha Remus, especially paired with Snape or Sirius.

I think people associate his lycanthropy with 'aggressive' tendency and sometimes forget that not all wolves are alphas of their packs.

So for those of you that write Remus Lupin on a consistent basis, do you prefer him aggressive or docile? Or perhaps a little of both?

I'd say he's somewhere in the middle, too, as far as dominance goes... I think he has the potential to be either dominant or submissive, depending on who he's paired with.

The few Remus fics I've done, I mostly write him as able to take either role with an adult male. In chan fics, he's sub if he's the boy, and dom in a caring, nurturing, training-the-cub sort of way if he's the adult. In the one het pairing I like him in (my AU-ficverse where he's paired with Fridwulfa) he's definitely submissive because his wife is just so damn BIG. :)

Anath.

Totally agreed on that, Anath.
