I'm totally with scribbulus_ink on this one. Someone above said "passive-agressive", and I think that's a pretty good way to characterize Lupin. He is a control freak, to a certain extent. Because of his condition, not having control scares him, I think. But this control he wields isn't very obvious, most people don't even realize he's wielding it.
In bed, I don't see him as exclusively dominant or submissive, but I think he would be very careful as to who he gave control to.
