So, every time I go into Target for *one* thing, I come out with eleventy billion. And most of it is shit I don't need but want. *shakes head*

What I came home with:

Captain America t-shirt
Season 2 of Breaking Bad (Why is this show so fucking awesome?)
Season 1 of Teen Wolf
Toilet paper
Two silverware caddies (Wait, WOT?)
Two boxes of Tazo chai (What I came in for :P)
Beatles coffee mug
Shower curtain rod

Self control 100 Penny 0

--P

Also, I wrote 2,000 words of H/D on Saturday \0/

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hasn't succumbed yet. Maybe we're immune, like in The Stand.

Target does that to me every time. I went in there scouting for something today and managed to get out of there without spending any money. I'M JUST AS SHOCKED AS YOU ARE.

I did, however, spend about ten bucks at ULTA. Which I thought was a pretty good compromise.

When my kids were young, I called Target the $100 store because every time I went in I spent about $100.

But someone always needed new underwear or socks or something and the kids would grow out of their t-shirts/jeans/pajamas/etc so darn quickly and then there were DVDs we'd been wanting to buy and - poof! $100 gone.

All these comments are making me feel less bad that I can't get out of Target for less than $70 even when I go there JUST FOR LAUNDRY SOAP OR NAIL POLISH REMOVER.

Also, yeah, what's the deal with fandom's problem with Scott? I think he's cute. And sweet.

Yay for H/D!

haha you sound like me! Though as a student, I tend to stick to discount stores to go overboard on shopping these days. Even Target is a "when I've got an income" store for me ;). But you sure succumbed to a lot of neat stuff :). You should take a photo of you in your captain america shirt!!

Mind you, as an Englishman, I object to them on principle, but in practice, Yogi Tea (http://www.yogiproducts.com/) are brilliant. Green tea with triple echinacea is a wonderful immune booster and the ginger lemon one is excellent for a sore throat. I'm sure the others are very good as well.

English??? Why did I think you were Australian???

Shall have to check out these teas! Yay for immune boosters!

I'm rather fond of their Mossimo line. I remember Mossimo from Pacific Coast waaaaay back in the day.

Their marketing strategies are indeed genius. It doesn't help that I can peruse their wares with a Starbucks in hand either.

An excellent compromise. I love ULTA. I could spend a fortune in there as well.

I've spent that in two recent trips, so I feel your pain. I can only imagine if I were shopping for multiple persons, how much I'd walk out of there spending.

How are you doing, sweetie?

There is too much shiny along the way. The whole damn store is an aisle of impulse buys. I have a cupboard full of teacups. Believe me, I did not need another one. Paul's faaaaace on it or not. LOL

Oooh, and I'm looking forward to October :)))

Oh, I love discount stores, too. Family Dollar is the shit. Is that a chain where you are perchance?

I am so unphotogenic, but you never know! *G*

CHAI FTW!!! :)

and lolol about the Cap t-shirt. That rocks!!

(I have the same exact problem. I think they must have some sort of mind control device that urges us to BUY MOAR as soon as we enter the store.)
