The State of the TMP

OMFG, may I never ever be that fucking sick ever again! Instead of having bacterial pneumonia like I was told, as my shitty luck would have it, I was cursed with the granddaddy of all flus. Fuck swine flu! I'm still not 100 percent, but I feel MUCH better than I did one week ago. I had seriously not been that sick since I had mono in my early twenties. And it sucks doubly when you have no one to dote on you :-(

010. I did manage to finish my first SGA fic for mcshep_match, which started today btw. It was about 3,000 words longer than I envisioned, and I am mostly pleased with it. It really is nice to write for a different fandom once in a while. Must return to Merlin. *emphatic nod*

0101. Okay, the hd_holidays sign-ups? Made me giddy with girlish glee. I have my fingers and toes crossed for a lot of awesome writers that decided to take the plunge this year. And so many returning old-schoolers! I canNOT wait for the sheer awesomeness of this fest to begin! *grabby hands*

000111. I made my cat ridiculously happy today by buying her a new scratchy thingy. There is a drool stain the size of a small grapefruit in the centre of it. *shakes catnip pouch*

I would offer to pick you up, but driving from NY to MI to NH would be a bit silly. I may be driving alone (which is what I generally do going to New England anyway) but hopefully I can figure out something with r_grayjoy where I can pick her up somewhere in order to get her in my car. :) If twilightsorcery goes, it'll be easier since that's on my way.
