Thank you for the Merlin/Arthur recs! My housemate has gotten hooked on Merlin recently, so I just had to link her. The Bayeux Tapestry one cracked ME up, too!

Oh, I've been watching along with her, and offering up such useful comments as "Know how you ACTUALLY clean chainmail? You stick it in a barrel of sand and roll it around," and "WTF, why's Gwen wearing a Renaissance bodice over a 12th-century chemise with NO OVERSKIRT?" and "Actually, Gwen would probably be sleeping IN THE SAME BED with Morgana, just like Beatrice and Hero in Much Ado About Nothing," and "Oh, SURE, that chicken would already be dressed and plucked and cleaned like that, RIGHT," and other annoying details. Like the proper methods for hunting boar.

We both mock the Very Fragile Chainmail.

I don't find it as cracktastic as she does; the central conflicts just annoy me rather than enthrall me, and the characters are usually more stupid than they have to be. But I can appreciate a good bit of humorous slash!
