Been thinking a lot about the two. There are ticky boxes to behold. Wheee!

Yes, that's exactly it! When the fandom is fresh and new, then it's like being passionately in love for the first time. Lustfully in love! And in the stories there's dicks and bums and legs in the air and joyful abandon!

But after a while, the lust cools, and maybe you just want to be friends, maybe by then you just love them for their minds. They're cool, fun, great to be with, but keep the pants on, okay? That's when a plot and story and humour become de riguer.

Hee, I had never thought of it like that, but you're absolutely right! It is rather like a honeymoon:D

I think I've reached the 'companion' stage, where I know and love my fandom as much as ever, but I just can't be bothered with the sweaty part quite as often as I used to. Moderately intrigued and slightly amused is what I'm aiming at. *g*

Oh, and don't I feel like the old fart that I am now!:D
