So Regulus may be R.A.B, or it may be someone entirely different. Really the only way to know is to give JKR some truth serum and make her tell, lol.
Oh well, I managed to find a spiffy way of fitting the whole R.A.B thing into the plot of one of my RPG's (where I play Regulus as always). So book canon or not it's now game canon...for this one game at least. Hehe.
Yeah, seriously, I REALLY want book 7. You know we're going to have to wait at least another 2 years though. *sigh*
