obsequious - Attempting to win favor from influential people by flattery; attentive in an ingratiating or servile manner




Snape:

perspicacious: (1) Acutely insightful and wise; (2) Mentally acute or penetratingly discerning.


(Although I would attach this label more to Dumbledore than Snape. Snape!muse won't hear of it. LOL)
